Expanded Description
Interstellar speedsters get to Sirius in Galaxy Racers, a lighthearted DS adventure through space. While the ultimate goal of the game is to be the first to travel from Earth to Planet Sirius, this is accomplished through strategy and environmental puzzle-solving, in several planet-to-planet runs along the way. As they travel through each leg of the mission-based race, players have opportunities to change road signs and play other tricks to re-route their opponents. They also have the ability to unleash hazards such as tornadoes, rainstorms, and breakdowns at key locations. The lower screen shows an isometric view of the current surroundings, as the top screen displays a more iconic, 2D view, highlighting interactive objects ahead on the course. Players start the race with their choice of exaggerated-personality racers, and additional characters unlocked for play as they progress through the adventure.
