In this drama, a pair of teenagers, Leslie (Gillian Jacobs) and Donnie (Evan Ross), has understandably never been able to get over being abducted as children. Even though they are no longer imprisoned by two men (played by Tom Arnold and Kevin Zegers) who kidnapped both of the children at age eight, their past haunts them as they live as seventeen year olds in San Diego. The trauma that Leslie and Donnie survived has kept them together, even as their love threatens to tear them apart. John Malkovich, Jeremy Sisto, and Harold Perrineau costar in this emotional and gritty film.
