Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 : PlayStation 2 Description
Expanded Description The paranormal Persona role-playing series continues on PlayStation 2 in this fourth installment. Building on the acclaimed third chapter of the freaky franchise, Persona 4 features a similar presentation and premise: you must balance daily life as a high school student while battling demons and other supernatural forces at night. The new storyline is set in Japan, in the pastoral town of Inaba, which has been upended with news of a ghastly murder. After more bizarrely staged murders take place, the protagonist and a few of his closest friends begin to investigate those responsible for the serial slayings. In between the sleuthing, the lead character will have to attend classes, build relationships, and complete part-time jobs.
The most significant change in Persona 4 is the combat interface. Instead of controlling one character and watching the computer AI guide the remainder of your party, you now have the option to issue commands for each teenager during the turn-based battles. The locales are also new, with television airwaves serving as the conduit to an alternate dimension. Once inside the shadowy realm, players can freely explore each area without having to worry about the time restrictions found in Persona 3. An estimated 60+ hours of content is included, with the decisions you make during your dual life influencing the type of ending you'll receive. As a special bonus, each retail copy of Persona 4 includes a soundtrack CD from Japanese composer Shoji Meguro.
