Welcome to Danny's Den, one of the hottest New York speakeasies of the Roaring '20s. This might just be the perfect place for Kenneth Harvey (Don Ameche), an ambitious young composer, to develop his new material. He's even fallen head over heels for the club's main performer (Vivian Blaine). What Harvey doesn't seem to realize is that the club owner is surreptitiously lifting his music.
