Merchants and residents of a small Florida hamlet called Ticlaw are up in arms over the construction of a major freeway that's scheduled to bypass their town, funnelling much needed tourism thirty-two miles up the road to freeway's nearest exit. Mayor Kirby T. Calo attempts to bribe highway officials into changing the exit's location, but to no avail. Strangely, however, the highway's travellers and tourists wind up in Ticlaw anyway, resulting in an unexperienced and lively meeting of misfits and mismatched characters.
