From Academy Award-winning screenwriter Steven Tesich (BREAKING AWAY) and three-time Oscar-nominated director Arthur Penn comes a semiautobiographical film dealing with the trials and tribulations of a Yugoslavian immigrant living in the United States. The story follows Danilo Prozor (Craig Wasson) and his three friends as they graduate high school and begin their journey into adulthood. Marriages come and go, children are born, lovers are lost, careers are made and broken during the 10-year span of the film. Over the course of these difficult years, the four friends hold on to their friendship as the one, true constant in their lives. FOUR FRIENDS is an emotional look at life in America during the tumultuous 1960s.
