The dramatically disturbing SUSPICIOUS RIVER describes a self-destructive hotel receptionist (Molly Parker) who is uncontrollably drawn to a deadly underworld. After prostituting herself to guests in the hotel, she begins a romance with a violent stranger who allows her to be raped by several men. Her risky behavior increases until it seems she might have the same fate as her own mother, who was brutally murdered.
