Description
Masterpiece Theatre presents this adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens novel about Pip, a young boy who endures a difficult childhood to emerge as a young man full of ambition and provided for by a mysterious benefactor who wishes to turn him into a gentleman. Featuring a stellar cast that includes standout performance by Charlotte Rampling as Miss Havisham and Ioan Gruffudd as Pip, this production of GREAT EXPECTATIONS manages to capture the bleak tone of the novel and still make for a compelling film.
