Nora (Jennifer Lewis) runs a neighborhood hair salon where hair takes a backseat to gossip, romantic problems, and even the occasional fight. Besides being the boss, Nora also is also a motherly figure for her employees--stargazing Clo (Tamala Jones), driven Lilleana (Tatyana Ali), and sexually confused Devin.
