James Arness reprises his role as Marshall Matt Dillon in this third movie sequel to the long-running television western Gunsmoke (1955-1975). In this installment, the now out-of-retirement Marshal must bring peace to a bloody land war while taking on a gang of cattle rustlers and contending with his headstrong daughter Beth (Amy Stock-Poynton).
