An intriguing tale about a lawyer who gets disbarred. He retreats from society in order to write a book on his experiences. Along the way, he meets a man who lets him read his manuscript. When the man dies, the lawyer turns in the book as if it were his. All is fine and well until he is arrested for the actual murders of the five lawyers in the book. He must prove his innocence, admitting his plagiarism in the process.
